The United Way workplace campaign has been called one of the greatest social inventions in American history. Why? It’s convenient, consistent, and it makes a difference.

For decades, people on the Central Coast have conveniently given a little bit each paycheck to United Way and other causes close to their heart. Working together with more than 100 employers and even more volunteers each year, United Way of SLO County encourages working folks in businesses both large and small to help their neighbors and communities in need by consistently providing an ongoing donation, all year long. When individuals contribute to United Way – or designate to any other charity of their choice – their contributions grow stronger when added to those of their co-workers.
