The Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo, with the help of the United Way of San Luis Obispo County and Rotary Clubs throughout the school district, will go to all 10 elementary schools to read books by diverse authors, rich in diverseculture, and reflective of our diverse population to classrooms from kinder to 6th grade. We will also be donating the books we read to classroom libraries to build continuing understanding and acceptance

READ: Once you sign up to be a reader, you will be assigned a school, classroom and a book.  Buy the book, read it aloud to the class, leave the book for the class.

DONATE: Expert librarians have curated lists of diverse books to donate to classrooms throughout the district.  You or your organization can donate as few or as many books as you like.  Your name will be printed on the inside cover to recognize the donation.

Stuff the Bus - This is an annual donation drive for new school supplies which are collected and distributed throughout local school districts to students in need. Every summer, just before school starts, the community is invited to literally stuff a big yellow bus with school supplies.
